A striking handbuilt ceramic vessel with a raw, almost geological presence. The form rises upward in a softly faceted, pod-like silhouette, with a central seam that runs the full height of the piece, a visible trace of the artist’s hand and process. The textured edges and stitched-like detailing give it an almost primitive, ritual quality, as if it were shaped more by intuition than by symmetry.

The surface is finished in a warm, iron-rich clay body with subtle firing variations that move from deep rust to soft matte brown. The texture catches the light beautifully, creating shadows and depth across the surface, making it as compelling from a distance as it is up close.

This piece sits somewhere between vessel and sculpture. It does not need flowers or contents to complete it, it stands confidently on its own as a sculptural object, bringing weight, texture and quiet drama to a space.

Each example would have been formed entirely by hand, then fired in a kiln, meaning no two pieces could ever be exactly alike.

Equally suited to a console, plinth or shelf, this is a piece for those drawn to tactile, expressive ceramics with a strong sense of presence.
